We're going to the zoo...

We'd love to meet you at the brilliant Colchester Zoo for the unique opportunity for yourself, or someone you know, to run a chip timed 10k at this great event.

It will begin in the heart of the Zoo, so participants will be starting between the Rhinos, Elephants, Giraffes and Zebras!

Costumes not obligatory, the real thing is already there!

Participants will also get free entry into Colchester Zoo on race day (that's worth £23), an official chip-timed result, free race photos and a well-deserved themed medal with some post-race goodies. All this is available by booking through Fundraising Events for Stickler Syndrome UK

The charity will pay the registration fee but we're asking if runners can fundraise in the run-up to the event (that's plenty of time up to mid-May) - all proceeds will go towards the ongoing Awareness campaign of 'Join the Dots' for 2026 which will include upcoming media work on radio and TV. We can help to set up the fundraising page on Just Giving if required.

If you just want to come along as a spectator...

Friends & Family members can also visit the Zoo on the day but tickets have to be booked in advance at Colchester Zoo :: Ticket Selection :: Stampede Friends & Family Tickets where they can also enjoy the facilities in the 'Village' area before and after the running event.

It's a great day out and a lovely opportunity to come together in this area, so we'd love to see you there.
