Sandro heads to Lisbon...

Our amazing friends from Italy, Stella (centre) and parents Irene and Sandro, make their way to Portugal from their home near Turin in Northern Italy for the 2026 Lisbon Half Marathon on 8 March.

This iconic event is renowned as the fastest half marathon and takes in the wonderful sights of the city, across the shoreline, and over the famous suspension bridge '25 de Abril' which links Almada to Lisbon.

Sandro is no stranger to an international half marathon having taken part in his first ever event last year (the Barcelona Half Marathon). All this to help raise funds for UK Research into Stickler Syndrome. Since last February, he's also taken part in some local events in Italy with the lovely Stella joining him where she can.
