SUNDAY, 27 APRIL... welcomed a record-breaking 2025 London Marathon in the heat of the day.
Our runners set off at different times and we tracked them through the TCS app as they made their way between the cheering crowds.
Each one of our registered runners finished the course despite the strong sunshine and high temperatures, so a big 'Congratulations' and an equally big 'Thank you' goes to:
Alice for the second time,
Catherine and friend Sarah, brothers Charlie and Sam, Chris, and Samantha.
Each one has a strong connection with Stickler Syndrome through family members and they've done some amazing fundraising which will help the charity progress through 2025/26.
And, equally, a big thanks to everyone who has supported our runners through their training and fundraising. You're all stars too!
Has this motivated you, or someone you know... to apply for the 2026 London Marathon and keep this story of success going for another year?
If it has, applications can be made through CRunCH but get in soon because confirmations tend to be made in early summer. And don't forget to let CRunCH know as much as possible about background and plans running up to next year's event.

But don't forget... there's lots of other events too, all over the UK and overseas that extend from family fun runs, through obstacle and adrenaline challenges, different distance runs and festivals, trails, cycling, swimming... there might just be something there for you or your wider family and friends.
You'll find some of these on the Events page of this website where we highlight some event cards and also have regional cards for you to browse through for ideas in your area.

Our 'Inflatables' trustee... One such event coming up on Saturday, May 17 is a 2.5k Inflatables fun run at Brands Hatch in Kent which one of our trustees, Ian, is going to try out to see how this might appeal to families. The Inflatables runs are spread out all over the UK. You can find out a bit more about the Brands Hatch run at Ian Joslin is fundraising for Stickler Syndrome UK. He'll be doing this with a number of other fun runners so we hope to get some good pictures and feedback of how the event went. Good luck Ian, we've heard you're not the best at bouncy castles!

Check out the Downloads page, we now have all of the MSK factsheets. 'What is Stickler Syndrome' and 'Hypermobility' have been joined by 'Joints, Spine and Bones', 'Osteoarthritis', 'Pain Management', and 'Quality of Life'. Let us know if you find these helpful, and let us know which other factsheets might be useful to you in the future. You can contact us at: contact@stickler.org.uk
